RFID Gaming Chips and Readers
CHIP READERS
In order to implement the use of the Safechip, Smartchip,
or Chipsoft in a gaming room, GPI SAS has developed
various readers. The different reader types are for different
uses, but all GPI SAS readers will collect information and
send data to the dealer, pit boss, inspector, cashier and
general management.
CAGE READER (Click
to view)
A cage reader offers vast advantages for the cashier and
top management combined with the adequate software which is
not provided by GPI® USA.
ADVANTAGES
- Gives cashiers an easy and efficient tool to eliminate
human errors from the chip flow and cash flow control at
the cage.
- Gives management the necessary information base to keep
track of cage transactions on a ongoing basis as well as
historical basis.
- Allows automatic and highly reliable filtering of incoming
chips to identify counterfeited chips or invalidated chips.
- Allows entering additional data (such as clients
name) into the memory of several chips simultaneously in
a few seconds.
- Easy to install and to integrate into the existing casino
information system with no reduction of cashiers efficiency.
The cage reader unit is made out of a large antenna which
is embedded and hidden in the cash counter, connected to GPI®
USAs CRU (Common Reading Unit). A regular desktop computer,
which is not provided, linked with the casino information
and accounting system will process the information. Any RFID
value chips, plaques or jetons can be placed on the antenna
at random or in a stack of 20 and they will be read simultaneously.
When the chips are placed on the cage reader, additional information
can be entered in the chips memory via the cashiers
keyboard such as players name and validation date.
CHIP BANK READER (Click

A chip bank reader is a valuable tool for personnel in the
back office, at the pit boss desk, or at the cage.

trigger is pulled and in less than 15 seconds all the chips
are identified.
Each chip is read, authenticated and accounted for. Accurate
inventory control reports can be printed, all fills and credits
will be recorded and double checked, and all trays coming
in or out of the vault will be recorded live.

the table that avoids interference from any metallic elements
within 30 inches surrounding the antenna.
ROULETTE FLOAT TRAY READER (Click

TABLE TOP AUTHENTICATOR (Click

The GPI® SAS table top authenticator reads from one chip
up to 3 stacks of 20 chips. It scans, identifies and accounts

chips placed on the scanning area are read instantly. A display
will show the dealer/inspector the total amount of the chips
read.
